An Alabama egg producer has announced the recall of eggs potentially contaminated with salmonella sold at stores in the southeast, including several in Atlanta.

Gravel Ridge Farms announced the recall on September 8.

The recall concerns packages containing a dozen eggs and 2.5 dozen eggs in cardboard containers with the UPC code 7-06970-38444-6. The eggs have "best if used by" dates between July 25 through October 3.

The eggs were sold in several locations in Atlanta, including Candler Park Market, Grant Park Market, Westview Corner Market, Sevananda Natural Foods and The Merchantile. They were also sold in several stores in Alabama.

You can return any Gravel Ridge Farms eggs to the store for a refund or throw them away.
