Police are seeking the public's help in cracking down on a longtime problem, people driving dirt bikes and ATV's on city streets.

Homeowners who spoke with CBS46 say they are fed up and believe someone will get seriously injured or possible die if something doesn't change.

Atlanta Police arrested a man who led them on a high speed chase through the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood on a dirt bike. When authorities got closer the to the man he ditched the bike and tried to flee on foot. He's now in jail and facing multiple charges.

Police say people driving ATV's and dirt bikes through the streets has been a problem for years.

"They do it so many times that something is going to happen. They feel like they own the streets and everybody should see them but that's not the case," said one citizen.

Now, police want citizens to help track down those who speed through the streets on dirt bikes and ATV's. They advise witnesses to get a good description and call 911 right away.
